LUSH :: PART 1

05 April 2015

Hello!!
First of all, I hope you had/have a wonderful Easter (or day if you don't celebrate!) Today I'm going to share my lush products I got as a present. My sister was going to get a game that was $50, so I was allowed $50 to spend at Lush, in case you were wondering why I got so much. This was pretty much my first time trying Lush, and I'm super impressed with their products! If you don't know what Lush is, it's a store that specialises in products you use in the bath or shower, like bath bombs, soaps, shower jellies, etc. They use all natural ingredients and most of their products are vegan. If you need to make sure a product is vegan, look for this symbol on the packaging or the page on the website:
You can visit Lush here, or search for a store near you. Here are some products I bought along with mini reviews-

This stuff smells SO GOOD. It's like a mixture of toffee, honey, and yumminess all packed into one. The honeycomb like stuff on top acts as an exfoliator, leaving your skin SUPER smooth. I have eczema on my hands, and although it is not visible normally, things like soap, citrus fruits and even being stressed can make it flare up. I checked the ingredients and it had orange oil and I was a bit concerned that it would hurt my hands, but I tried it anyway. It actually helped my hands, in fact the exact opposite of what I expected, so I would recommend this amazing stuff to anyone who has eczema like me. You can purchase Honey I Washed The Kids Soap here.

The shower jellies at Lush double triple as a body wash, hair wash and just amazing squishy stuff to entertain you. Being the normal person I am, the second I had my hands on it I ripped off the lid and continuously slapped, squashed and pulled it apart, hence the visible chunk missing. IT'S JUST SO FUN!! Although, it was the same case as the Honey I Washed The Kids soap - will it hurt my hands? This seemingly evil stuff is lemon, lime and grapefruit based - all core ingredients for ECZEMA TO STRIKE! I highly doubted that this would not hurt my hands, but, like the soap it didn't, because Lush is nice to me. It smells like heaven and would be great on drowsy mornings as the scent is super zingy and refreshing. You can buy it here.

I have not yet tried this, though, I have smelt it. The initial smell is a bit gross and sort of like herbs and old socks (?). My mum stole a tiny amount and claims once it is on it is refreshing and you can't smell it at all. Use it under your arms, your feet and probably in your shoes to stop them from having the pungent smell of sweat. It also isn't full of nasty stuff like aluminium, an ingredient in many deodorants, which can (apparently) lead to breast cancer and Alzheimer disease (no thanks!!). Find it here.

Us humans waste endless hours washing our hair every night just to keep it in a condition considered acceptable in today's society. Never fear, Lush is here! This is for those days when your hair is so greasy that it looks like you have dipped your hair in oil. For those with light hair, this doesn't matter, but if you have darker hair, make sure you don't add too much or you will look like an old granny. To use, simply add a bit to your hand, evenly dust it over your hair and brush it through, Get your hands on some here.

Stay tuned for part 2.
 Next week I will be showing you all the amazing face masks I got + toothy tabs.
Tell me your favorite Lush products in the comments.

See you next time,
Sophie xx.
